WONDER WANDER at Newhailes

Solo exhibition in the grounds of Newhailes, National Trust for Scotland, in Musselburgh EH21 6RY

Following the exhibition at SOC, a selection of sculptures is showing in the parkland at Newhailes during Winter 2021/22. Of particular interest is the Sehnsucht (Yearning) sculpture thoughfully sited inside the ruined Shell Grotto.

The sculptures are made from weathering Corten steel and casting techniques in Andrea’s Edinburgh studio. Each sculpture is deliberately placed forging relationships with the landscape and architecture. The exhibition is entirely outdoors, giving the audience an opportunity to encounter contemporary art in a safe way during these unusual times.

Covid restrictions permitting, the artist will host a number of walking events, exploring the park and its inhabitants. Any dates for this will be announced in the News section on this website.
