Garnet Mountain

In the summer of 2017, I was invited by a group of Austrian artists to work with contemporary watercolor techniques during a walking residency in the alpine Tuxertal, Austria.

During my stay I researched the local mining history, using maps and mineralogy to locate the gems within the mountains. ‘Garnet Mountain’ is now part of the group’s art collection.
