Architect: Scott Lindsay at Purcell UK
Built in the late 18th century, Culzean Castle is perched on the Ayrshire coastal cliffs and is considered one of Robert Adam’s masterpieces. Robert Adams designed the extensive grounds, castle and interior decoration, much of it botanical themed. The abstract filigree of the metal Leaf Clouds comments on Robert Adam’s designs and his romanticised follies, as seen on the site in his ruinous and overgrown Castle Arch.
