Sustrans Scotland requests the honour of your company at an artwork unveiling event to celebrate the installation of two new artworks along the traffic-free Loanhead Railway Extension Path in the South of Edinburgh, linking Shawfair, Danderhall, Gilmerton and Loanhead, via a safe active travel route.

Thursday 4th July 2019, 10:30 – 13:00

Artwork unveiling near Shawfair, Midlothian (55.909515, -3.098483) followed by a Walk/Cycle/Wheel via the new Gilmerton Road Ramp to the second artwork unveiling near Gilmerton, Edinburgh (55.895466, -3.132052)

Agenda

10:30 – Invited guests and media gather 11:00 – First Artwork unveiling by James Gordon & Susheila Jamieson 11:15 – Walk/cycle/wheel to Gilmerton road Ramp (20 mins walk, 10 min cycle) 11:45 – Continue to second artwork unveiling (10 min walk, 5 min cycle) 12:00 – Second art work unveiling by Artist Andrea Geile on cycle path along Gilmerton Station Road 12:15 – Networking and naming of the path 13:00 – Close. Light refreshments will be available
There will be a 3km walk/cycle/wheel which is entirely traffic free and family friendly. All children will be the responsibility of their guardian/parent. A limited number of Bromptons and electric bikes are available on request, please let us know if you would require one when you RSVP.
